As a result of ongoing congestion and delay in Long Beach, the operators of the PCX service from the West Coast USA to New Zealand and Australia have temporarily reduced their service from Longbeach to fortnightly. The service continues to operate weekly from Vancouver, Oakland and Seattle.
The PCX service is the only weekly direct service from WCUSA to New Zealand and Australia and so it will continue to cause disruption in an already severely delayed trade lane.
The service would normally operate 52 sailings per year , over the past 12 months it has only been able to achieve 37 sailings . This has resulted in some of the biggest delays in services during the past 2 years of the pandemic.
Our sales teams will update when the service reverts back to weekly sailings from Long Beach.
