The operators of Spirit of Sydney V 216S have advised that the vessel will omit Charleston SC on its voyage from USA to New Zealand and Australia.
Unfortunately this is the second port omission from Charleston SC in recent weeks. We reported that the Spirit of Singapore V 214S would also omit Charleston in our newsletter dated 6th of April.
The omissions are the result of increasing dwell time for vessels in the port of Charleston and backlogged terminals.
Shipments exiting ECUSA will be effected and our customer service and sales teams will discuss any impacted shipments.
Unfortunately services from the West Coast of USA are not fairing any better as per our newsletter dated 1ST of April highlighting a significantly reduced number of sailings March through to June.
There are limited services from the United States and we are working to find best solutions given the unprecedented impact to operations through-out the USA road, rail and shipping system.
